Elaine E. Deibele, age 91, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on November 28, 2016, at New Ulm Medical Center. Elaine's family will be celebrating her life privately at a later date. Condolences may be left for the family online at www.sturmfh.com Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. Elaine Ella Deibele was born on March 6, 1925 in Sleepy Eye, MN to George Edward and Margaret Ann (Ganske) Maurer. She grew up on a farm, rural Sleepy Eye and attended St. Mary's School. Prior to marriage she worked at Montgomery Ward in St. Paul. Elaine married Virgil Deibele on February 6, 1947 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. The couple made their home in St. Paul and later returned to Sleepy Eye. Elaine was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye. She spent her time listening to music, politics and attending sporting events, especially those that her children and grandchildren participated in. She enjoyed traveling with her husband and children and being outdoors with her flowers, neighbors and the sunshine. Elaine loved scripture and her Bible study groups. Her deepest love was for her God and Savior, Jesus Christ, and her beloved family. Survivors include her daughters, Dawn Deibele of Sleepy Eye, Denice (Gary) Teipel of Mankato, Debbie (Greg) Braulick of Sleepy Eye, Mary (Bill) Bruess of Minneapolis, sons, Dan (Barb) Deibele of Long Prairie, MN, Dean (Chris) Deibele of Chanhassen, son-in-law, Jon Pederson of Minneapolis, 18 grandchildren, Jesse and Justin Deibele, Collin and Dilcia Pederson, Hayley Teipel, Brett, Brynn Mathiowetz, Briar and Bronte Braulick, Ryan, Brooks, Cole, Jacob and Allie Deibele, Tara, Tyler, Trevor and Talia Bruess, 15 great grandchildren, sister, Marie Trautman of Mankato, sisters-in-law, Darlene Maurer of Fairfax, Patricia Hurrle of St. Paul and brother-in-law, Linus (Marilyn) Deibele of Sleepy Eye. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Virgil in 2003, daughter, Diane Deibele Pederson and granddaughter, Courtney Pederson. A special thank you to Divine Providence, Adult Daycare and especially Dr. Scott Rysdahl for their compassion and care.
