Elaine Coleman passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the home of her daughter in Orlando, Florida. Elaine Ruth Engelbrecht was born in St. James, Minnesota on April 6, 1925 the daughter of Frank and Elsie (Meyer) Engelbrecht. Elaine went to South Branch Country School District 27. On September 17, 1944 she was united in marriage to Arnold Coleman at the Methodist Church in St. James. The couple was blessed with five children; Shirley, Dennis, Bonni, Karen and Debra. Elaine loved to crochet, garden and always had lots of flowers. She was a fantastic baker especially homemade cinnamon rolls, homemade bread, buns and raised donuts. She like polka music as well as the waltz. Elaine drove school bus for 35 years and worked on the family farm with Arnold. They loved to go on their motorcycle, part of the Holiday Rambler and snowbird in Mesa, AZ. Elaine loved taking care of her grandchildren and playing gospel music on the organ. She is survived by her children; Shirley (Larry) Baarson of Lisbon, ND, Dennis (Sonja) Coleman of St. James, Bonni (Gary) Siem of St. James, Karen (Gregg) Reiter of Orlando, FL, Debra (Michael) Sanchez of Brighton, CO, 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, sister Lois (La Verne) Thompson of St. James, and brother Melvin (Dona) Engelbrecht of St. James. She is preceded in death by her husband Arnold, parents, Frank and Elsie, son-in-law Charles Hoffrogge, nephew Bradley Thompson, niece Caroline Engelbrecht.
