Edwin Andrew Tauer was born on April 28, 1917 in Mulligan Township, MN, the son of Michael and Margaret (Reiniger) Tauer. Edwin married Agnes Schroepfer on June 5, 1939 at St. Mary's Catholic Church. After their marriage they moved to a farm in Mulligan Township where they raised cattle, hogs and chickens until they retired in 1982. Edwin was raised in the Catholic faith and was involved with the Knights of Columbus for 60 years. He was also involved with the Schoenstatt Sisters for several years.
