Edward Leo Savage was born August 28, 1933 to Jerome and Grace (Tuttle) Savage on the family farm in Cottonwood County, MN. He moved to California with his family in 1942 and attended school in Richmond, CA. His family moved back to Comfrey in 1949 and Ed attended Comfrey Public School. He worked for several area farmers until he entered the U.S. Army in 1954. Ed served his country for 2 years and was honorably discharged in 1956. He then worked for Lisney Construction as an iron worker where he traveled all over the country. Ed became a resident of Golden Living Center in Wabasso in March of 2014. He is survived by sons- Troy and wife Lisa Savage of Metairie, LA, and Shawn Savage of Minneapolis; grandson T.J. Savage of Metairie, LA; granddaughter Hillary (Justin) Brandner of Slidell, LA; brother Deward (Violet) Savage of LeSueur; and sisters- Karen (Gordy) Lorenzen of Sleepy Eye, and Carol (Tom) Cullen of Shakopee. He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter Michelle Savage; brothers- Richard 'Dick', and James; and a little sister Ellen Savage.
