Edward "Abe" Neudecker was born on June 16, 1914, in Sleepy Eye, the son of Frank and Margaret (Berg) Neudecker. Abe attended and graduated from St. Mary's High School in Sleepy Eye. He was a lifelong member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye where he sang in the church choir for many years. He worked at Al's Bakery in Sleepy Eye before he owned and operated a gas station in Sleepy Eye. He also worked at Martinka Hardware in Sleepy Eye and retired from AUI Press after many years of work. Abe will be fondly remembered for his sense of humor. Abe died on Thursday, December 21, 2006, at Divine Providence Community Home in Sleepy Eye, MN. He is survived by his sisters - Betty Jackson of White Bear Lake and Helen and husband Tom Coldwell of Cloquet, MN; a sister-in-law - Elvera Neudecker of Sleepy Eye and many nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his parents and brother - Ollie.
