Edward Ed J. Heidemann was born March 2, 1929 in New Ulm, MN, the son of Edward R. Ida (Boelter) Heidemann. He served in the US Naval Seabees during the Korean Conflict and on Navy reserves afterwards for several years. Ed married Charyl Chary Michaelson on October 18, 1969 at Christ Lutheran Church in Cottonwood, MN. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye. Ed worked at Stimpert Enterprises from 1943-1954, Ebenhoh's Body Shop from 1954-1979 and Brown County REA from 1979 until retiring in 2000. Ed was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, American Legion and a life member of the VFW. He loved stock car racing and watching Nascar and enjoyed numerous carpentry and other projects throughout the years. Ed enjoyed spending time with his family and his grandchildren especially made him smile! He is survived by his wife, Chary of Sleepy Eye, son, Mike (Amy) Heidemann of Morgan, grandchildren, Brianna, Kaleb Aaron, son, Erik (Barbi) Heidemann of Minneapolis, brother-in-law, Gaylen (Judy) Class of Bloomington, sister-in-law, Kary (Glenn) Brower of Cottonwood, nieces, Pam (Dave) Winkler, Shelle (Mark) Prairie, Lisa (Dave) Hanson and nephews, Jon (Dani) Brower and Dennison (Katie) Brower. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister, Marian Class and parents-in-law, Orville Ardis Michaelson.
