Edna Wendt

Edna (Mrs. Marvin) Wendt Edna Rose Buhr was born on September 7, 1918 to John and Ella (Kallsen) Buhr at their home in Stately Township, Brown County, MN. She was united in marriage with Marvin Wilhelm Wendt on November 30, 1941 at Christ Lutheran Church in Stately Township. Following their marriage, Edna and Marvin farmed in Stately Township until retirement in 1974 when they moved to Burnsville, MN. In 1984, they moved to Sylvan Shores at rural Browerville. Marvin passed away in February of 1997 and in 2002, Edna moved to Underwood, MN. While in Brown County, Edna was a member of Zion Lutheran Church in Sanborn, MN. She enjoyed playing cards, particularly pinnacle, and watching TV. Edna passed away at her home on Monday, October 17, 2005 at the age of 87. Edna was preceded in death by her husband Marvin; parents John and Ella Buhr; brother Harry Buhr and sister Emma Hollman. She is survived by her sons Darwin (Barbara) of Underwood and Monte (Delores) of Sanborn; 9 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren; brother Gilbert Buhr and sister Lillie Erickson.
