Edna M. Haffner

Edna M. Haffner age 73, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota was called home on July 16, 2015, at Good Samaritan Society-The Village in Mountain Lake. Edna Mae Haffner was born in Brooklyn, NY on November 4, 1941 to Adolf and Martha (Klaymeier) Munning. Edna grew up in Brooklyn, and in 1953 briefly lived in St. Petersburg, FL before returning to Brooklyn to complete high school. Edna worked as a file clerk, working with American Express and Wilson & Jones Co. In 1960, she was married and later was blessed with two daughters - Martha and Elizabeth. After the birth of her children, she stayed at home to care for them. In 1977, she moved to Butterfield, MN where she made her home until 2006 when her declining health brought her to the Good Samaritan Village until her passing. Edna loved the outdoors and enjoyed watching the fish in the pond outside. She also served as the president of the Resident Counsel of Good Samaritan Village for 6 years. Edna is survived by daughters, Martha (Leon) Wollschlager of Mt. Lake and Elizabeth (Jesus "Jesse") Ibarra of Valrico, FL; brother, Robert (Jan) Munning of Windom, MN; 8 grandchildren, Jessica Gonzalez, Brenda Lugo, Anthony Ibarra, Lisa Lugo, Leon Wollschlager Jr, Adrianna Ibarra, Desiree Wollschlager, and Alexis Ibarra; 15 great-grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews.
