Edith King

Edith A. King was born on November 13, 1914, in New Ulm, MN, the daughter of Fritz and Emma (Prahl) Buddensiek. She attended district #52 in Brown County. She was united in marriage to Marvin King on July 8, 1941 at Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey. Edith was involved with the Comfrey Senior Citizens, a member of Salem Lutheran Church and New Hope Lutheran Church in Comfrey. She enjoyed traveling, family, visiting, time with little children, playing cards, and playing Scrabble. Edith died on Monday, September 21, 2015, at the St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield at the age of 100. She is survived by sisters-in-law - Rosella Buddensiek of Mankato and Marilyn King of New Ulm, MN; several nieces and nephews; and the caring staff at St. John Lutheran Home. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband - Marvin in 2002; and siblings - Melvin Buddensiek, Hilda Heller, Erma Colburn, and Rolly Buddensiek.
