Edgar Oeltjenbruns

Edgar Oeltjenbruns was born November 2, 1919 at Butterfield Township, MN, the son of John and Emma (Overbeck) Oeltjenbruns. Edgar married Betty Jean Stelzer on June 8, 1956 at Butterfield, MN. Edgar was educated in the Butterfield country school. He served in the US Army. He was employed by Tony Downs, Watonwan County and for several area farmers over the years. Edgar enjoyed fishing and watching sports, especially the Minnesota Twins and Vikings. He loved his pet dogs, enjoyed woodworking and tinkering with small engines. Edgar Oeltjenbruns died on Saturday, February 18, 2006 at the Lutheran Retirement Home in Truman, MN. At the age of 86 years. Survivors include his daughter and son-in-law, Suzie and Joel Kral of New Ulm, MN, son and daughter-in-law, Mike and Debbie Oeltjenbruns of St. James, MN, grandson, J.P. Oeltjenbruns of St. James, MN, nieces and nephews, Greg and Diane Peterson, Debbie and Chuck Huffman, Joe and Sue Stelzer, Duane and Diane Stevens, Les and Delores Stevens, Robert and Bonnie Stevens, and Joan and Dean Paulson. He was preceded in death by his wife, parents, brother Edwin Hi, sister Esther, Sister-in-law Bea, brothers-in-law Paul, Donald and Leland.
