Earl Fredrick Karschnik was born on October 31, 1929 to Edward and Lena (Krueger) Karschnik south of Mountain Lake, MN. On March 22, 2022 God granted Earl's wish to die on the farm that he loved so dearly for over 68 years at the age of 92 with his family at his side. Earl was baptized on December 1, 1929 at Kimball Lutheran Church in Kimball Township. He was confirmed on April 18, 1943 at Trinity Lutheran Church Mountain Lake, MN where he was a life-long member. He received his education at country school District #32 in Mountain Lake Township thru the 8th grade when he began working on the farm with his Dad. Earl served in the United States Army from July 1953 thru May of 1955, returning to his life-long career of farming. On July 17, 1955 Earl would say he married his BW (beautiful wife) Arlene Evers at Salem Lutheran Church in Comfrey, MN. After their marriage they farmed south of Mountain Lake where they raised their five children. They continued to live there following Earl's retirement in 1991, and their sons continue to farm there. Earl took great pride in his family. He loved visits from grandchildren and great-grandchildren who all dearly loved their Grandpa Earl! He was quick-witted and was known for his one liners. He loved to sing and often surprised us with the many songs he knew. Earl was preceded in death by his parents, Edward and Lena, brother, Harvey, sister-in-laws; Ruth Bernloehr, Terry Evers, Virginia Karschnik, brother-in-laws; Edward Kliewer, Alvin Karschnik, Lester Evers, Wayne Bennett and niece, Lori Evers.
