Dustin Russell Wolters

September 7, 1989 — September 1, 2018

Dustin Wolters passed away on Saturday, September 1, 2018 at Mayo Clinic Health System-Fairmont. Dustin Russell Wolters was born on September 7th, 1989 to Rodney and Cindy Wolters. He learned quickly being the youngest of five children and the only boy that thick skin and a listening ear was the best way to tread through this journey we call life. Growing up, if Dustin wasn't being forced to play dolls or another agonizing game of pretty pretty princess you would find him taking something apart, trying his next big trick on his bike, or fixing something that didn't necessarily need fixing. As he grew, he made numerous friends and it wasn't a mystery why. Dustin had a personality that just drew people to him. He always said what was on his mind, even if he didn't think before saying it and he was always up for a good time. But what drew people to him the most was his compassion and loyalty to others. When times were hard, Dustin was never far away with a big smile and a gentle hug to offer. He was his mother's rock and his father's best friend. Not a day went by when he wasn't in contact with them. He loved his parents with all of his heart and soul. By far his biggest pride and joy was his children Cayden and Adelyn. They meant the world to him. Dustin took every opportunity that he was given to be the best father he could be. It weighs heavy on the heart to think that someone so young and so good can be taken from us in an instance. As we mourn the loss of our son, father, brother, uncle, and friend, let us not forget to rejoice in all that Dustin has given us. Remember to hold your loved ones tight, live life to its fullest, and never, ever underestimate the power of being a true friend. He is survived by his mother Cindy Wolters of St. James, father Rodney Wolters of Lewisville, children Cayden and Adelyn, siblings Shyla (Eric) Stradtman of New Prague, Melissa (Josh) Haseman of St. James, Krista Wolters of Fairmont, Samantha (Alex) Ewen of Estherville, IA, girlfriend Rayghn Boo-Boo Schwager of Dunnel, many aunts, uncles and cousins. He is preceded in death by his brother Rodney, Jr., grandparents, numerous uncles and aunts.
