Douglas Braun

Douglas Paul Braun, 50, of Pipestone, MN died on Monday, May 26, 2008 at his home. Douglas Paul Braun was born on August 20, 1957 in Sleepy Eye, Mn the son of Linus Lois (Pelzel) Braun. He grew up in Sleepy Eye and graduated from Public High School in 1975. Doug enlisted in the U.S. Air Force and served 3 years. He then worked as a lineman for the Renville Sibley REA in Olivia. Doug enlisted in the U.S. Navy and served 3 years. He married Anna Maria Orthober on March 23, 1991 in Louisville, KY. The couple made their home in Arlington, MN and later moved to Pipestone, MN where Doug worked as a lineman. He was a member of the NRA and his passion was flying. Survivors include, his wife Anna and children, Nicholas and Cassandra all of Pipestone, parents, Linus Lois Braun of Sleepy Eye, siblings, Janette Moldan of Las Vegas, Carol Braun of New Ulm, David (Elke) Braun of LeSueur, and Debra (Jon) Brown of Grand Prairie, TX, mother-in-law, Lucille Orthober of Louisville, KY and several nieces, nephews and in- laws. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.
