Doug Beilke passed away on Friday, December 29, 2017 at Mayo Clinic Health System – St. James. Douglas James Beilke was born May 1, 1966, in Sleepy Eye, the son of Orville and Laurel (Trebesch) Beilke. Doug grew up in the Morgan area. He graduated from Cedar Mountain School in 1985. He enlisted in the Army Reserve in April 1984, served for 21 years. He participated in Desert Storm Nov 1990 to May 1991 and Enduring Freedom from Jan 2003 to March 2004. Doug began working at Swift in 1988 and was still working for Smithfield Foods at the time of his death. Doug married Lisa Rathai on June 12, 1999 in Nashua, IA. Doug enjoyed spending time with his grandson Noah Skeeter, watching the Vikings and NASCAR. Doug is survived by his wife Lisa of St. James, children, Teagan Beilke of Isanti, Derrick Beilke, Ashley Beilke and Jenika Rathai all of St. James, grandson Noah Skeeter Beilke, his mother Laurel Beilke of Sleepy Eye, sisters and brother, Linda Strand, Diane (Dale) Eckstein, Paul Beilke all of Sleepy Eye, Laurie (Doug) Opheim of St. Peter, mother-in-law, Marcy Engelking of Puposky, sisters-in-law, Tami Rathai (Eric) of Apple Valley, Amber Rathai (Jon) of Bagley, father-in-law, Roy Rathai (Carol) of St. Paul, several nieces, nephews and great nieces and nephew. He is preceded in death by his father Orville, infant brother David, sister Pam Beilke, step-father-in-law, Scott Engelking and numerous aunts & uncles.
