Dorothy Mae Schultz was born November 29, 1932, in Salina, KS, the daughter of Emmanuel and Mary (Milburger) Blehm. She graduated from Salina High School in 1950, then worked as a teller in a Salina bank. Dorothy then moved to Minneapolis and worked at Northwest Bank. She was united in marriage to Donald Schultz in 1956, and the couple moved to the Schultz family farm north of Springfield. Dorothy worked as a nursing assistant at St. John's Home, at Control Data in Redwood Falls, and at Mr. J's Clothing Store in Springfield. She then owned and managed Schultz Jewelers and later worked at Jackpot Junction. Dorothy was a hard working farm wife and enjoyed gardening, canning, and spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. Dorothy was a resident of St. John's the past 11 1/2 years after suffering a stroke. Dorothy considered the staff as part of her family and cherished the love and care they gave to her. She is survived by children- Dawn (Calvin) Buddensiek of Springfield, Loree Lang of Springfield, Scott (Chastity) Schultz of Springfield, Kari (Dan) Solyntjes of Savage, and Wendy (Rodney) Salonek of Springfield; grandchildren- Nicole (Jeremy) Goodroad, Katrina (Nick) Schafer, Sara (Brent) Lang, Brandon (Chelsie) Lang, Melissa Buddensiek, Maria Schultz, Bob Lang, Emily Salonek, Ashlee Lang, Phil Solyntjes, Sam Solyntjes, Annie Schultz, Jon Salonek, Shelby Schultz, Alexys Wenisch, Andy Salonek, and Luke Wenisch; 5 great-grandchildren; 1 brother; and 5 sisters. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Don in 2007; and brother Larry.
