Donna Mae Roiger was born on February 1, 1933 in New Ulm, MN, the daughter of Albert J. and Elvira (Richter) Gag. She attended and graduated from Holy Trinity in New Ulm, MN. Following her education she worked at Woolworth in New Ulm. On August 22, 1955 she was united in marriage to Marvin Roiger at Holy Trinity in New Ulm. The couple made their home at the Roiger farmstead near Springfield, MN. Donna worked at St. John Lutheran Home in the Dietary Department for 15 years. The couple moved into Springfield in 1986 and in April of 2010 Donna became a resident of St. John Lutheran Home. She was an active member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church where she participated with the Altar Society. Donna enjoyed sewing, traveling, and collecting knick knacks from their travels. Donna died on Thursday, December 30, 2010 at St. John Lutheran Home at the age of 77 years. She is survived by her husband - Marvin Roiger of Springfield, MN; son - Arthur Roiger of New Baltimore, MI; daughters - Pamela Roiger of Bemidji, MN, Patricia Roiger and husband Ed Friana of Syrocus, NY, and Mary J. Roiger and husband Mark Van Krevelen, of St. Paul, MN; 3 grandchildren; and a sister - Beverly Schafer of CA. She was preceded in death by her parents; two infant son - Martin and Francis; and a brother - Lloyd Gag.
