Donna Eischen

Donna Marie Eischen was born April 4, 1926 in Mulligan Township, Brown County, the daughter of Michael and Margaret (Schons) Eischen. She resided in the Comfrey area during her youth and attended St. Paul's Elementary School in Comfrey. Donna was employed at the Comfrey Hospital for some time and in 1951 she became owner of a Ladies Apparel Shop in Morgan. In 1956 Donna began working at C.R. Anthony's in Sleepy Eye. She became manager in 1965 and held that position until her retirement in 1989. Donna was a member of St. Paul's Catholic Church, CCW, St. Mary's Society, and V.F.W. Auxiliary Post #800 of Sleepy Eye. She enjoyed quilting, watching sports, puzzles, meeting friends at Jackpot Junction, fishing, and trips to Northern Minnesota and Wisconsin. Donna Marie Eischen died Saturday, January 1, 2005 at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 78 years. Survivors include brothers- Bernard and Lucille Eischen of Comfrey, and Wilbert and Evelyn Eischen of Comfrey; sister- Betty and Roman Zwaschka of rural Butterfield; sister-in-law- Delores Eischen of Comfrey; and 20 nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers- Aloysius and Alvin; and sisters- Marcella Hirsch and Mariann Vogel.
