Donna Bruggeman

Donna Mae Rubey Bruggeman was born on April 19, 1924 in Waverly, SD to Michael T. and Antionetta (Thielen) Antony. She grew up and graduated from school in New Ulm. Donna married Linus Rubey in 1946 and raised her family on the Rubey family farm in Stark Township. She continued to live on the farm after Linus passed away in 1983 until she married Jack Bruggeman in 2002. Donna and Jack enjoyed 13 years together and were a blessing to each other in Donna's last years. She was a loving wife, mother and grandmother who loved gardening, flowers, golf and playing cards with friends. She is survived by her husband, John Jack Bruggeman of Sleepy Eye, children; Robert (Sharon) Rubey of Sleepy Eye, Mary (Lynn) Bertrand of Coon Rapids, MN, Kathy (Frank) St. Lawrence of Orono, MN, David (Judy) Rubey of Sleepy Eye, children by marriage; John (Nancy) Bruggeman of Minneapolis, Steve (Jean) Bruggeman of St. Cloud, Joe (Carol) Bruggeman of Sleepy Eye, Pat (Sue) Bruggeman of Sleepy Eye, David (Julie) Bruggeman of North Mankato, 20 grandchildren, 16 great grandchildren, 2 great great grandchildren and sister, Carol (Dan) Sustrick of Overland Park, KS. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Linus Rubey, two brothers and a sister.
