Donald Philip Runck was born August 27, 1948 to Ervin and Agnetta (Wog) Runck in Springfield, Minnesota. Don was baptized and was a confirmed of the United Methodist Church in Lamberton. He graduated from Lamberton High School in 1966. On September 27, 1969 Don was united in marriage to Joleyn Wolle at Zion Lutheran Church in Lewisville, Minnesota. Don and Joleyn farmed north of Lamberton where Don had farmed all his life. He was also a Jacques seed area man and a realtor for Allied Realty. He was a charter member of Lamberton Jaycee's, Lion's club member and the first president of the Lamberton Area Historical Society. Don served on the Redwood County Zoning and Planning Board and was a supervisor on the Waterbury Township board. A 21 year member of the Redwood County Mutual Insurance board, he was currently serving as Vice President. Don also served on the Redwood County farm Bureau board for many years. He was a lifelong member of Lamberton United Methodist Church serving in many offices over the years and also sang in the choir when he could. Don enjoyed farming and spending time with family and friends especially his wife, children and grandchildren. He loved checking out machinery lots, feeding his cats and watching the birds outside his window. Don greatly enjoyed taking the grandchildren for 4-wheeler rides in the trailers he built for them. He truly loved life, family and friends. Blessed be his memory. Donald Runck, 57, of Lamberton, MN died on Saturday, July 1, 2006 at his home in rural Lamberton, MN. Don is survived by his wife of 36 years, Joleyn; daughter Shelly and her husband Regan Gemelke of Ghent; son Gary and his wife Sarah Runck and their children Halle and Holden of Redwood Falls; brothers - Ervin W. and his wife Lorna Runck, Leonard and his wife Anita Runck all of Lamberton; mother-in-law Hazel and her husband Lynn Fisher of Jamestown, ND; 8 nephews, 1 niece, aunts, uncles, cousins; sister-in-law - Dorinda Karls and her husband Gordy of Champlin; brother-in-law Jeff Wolle of Jenkins, MN. Don is preceded in death by his parents, father-in-law - Arnold Wolle, and brother-in-law - Keith Wolle.
