Donald Edward Lindemann, age 70, of rural St. James died at his home on Monday, November 26, 2007. Private family services will be held at a later date with burial at East Sveadahl Cemetery in St. James. You may send the family condolences online at www.sturmfh.com Don was born December 11, 1936 at New Ulm, MN to parents Edward Leila (Meyer) Lindemann. He grew up and attended school in New Ulm where he graduated high school in 1955. Don joined the Army after high school and served until 1959, he was stationed in Japan from 1956-1958. While in Japan he attended Sophia University in Tokyo. Following his release from the military he returned to Minnesota where he went to work for Honeywell in Minneapolis as a systems analyst and continued his education at the U of M. Don worked at Honeywell from 1960 until his retirement in 1991. Don also was active with D D Custom Photo from 1988 until his death. He also loved dog training, he was director of traing at K-9 All Breed Obedience School from 1965 to 1975 and Aninal Inn Dog Training from 1976 to 1987. He was a member of the National Association of Obedience Instructors. He also was a member of the National Genealogical Society, Mayan Society in Minneapolis, Junior Pioneers League in Brown County and enjoyed hunting, fishing and photography. He was preceded in death by his parents and two sons, Mark and Ryan. He is survived by his 5 daughters, Robin Herndon of Dallas, TX, Susan Lindemenn of Zimmerman, MN, Melissa Benton of Lincoln, NE, Kristen Lindemann of St. James and Ashley Lindemann of St. James.
