Donald Eugene Anderson was born June 18, 1930, in Hollywood, CA, the son of Arthur Red and Adelle (Spaulding) Anderson. At 4 months of age the family moved back to Lamberton, MN. Don married the love of his life, Dolores on August 23, 1951. Donald enlisted in the Air Force in March of 1951 and served until March of 1955. He spent 18 months at Naha Air Base in Okinawa. Upon returning from serving his country, he worked at Andys Motor Service for one year with his dad in Lamberton. He moved his family to Minneapolis in 1957 where he was an airplane mechanic over the years with Braniff, Flying Cloud, North Central, Republic, and Northwest Airlines. After retirement in 1992, Don and Dolores moved to Pine River, MN Upper Whitefish Lake enjoying all the beauty the lake area had to offer and spending winters in Apache Junction, AZ. Dons passion was airplanes, cars (motors), woodworking, fishing, and boating. He was a jack of all trades. He will be remembered for always helping others with any project needing done. In the last 10 years Dons eyes were failing, due to Macular Degeneration, but he loved his music (Big Band, Gospel, and Country) and listening to the Twins and Wild games. His greatest enjoyment was being with family and watching the little grandkids play. Donald was a resident of Commons on Marice in Eagan, MN where he passed away on Sunday morning, August 28, 2022, at the age of 92. He will remain forever in our hearts.
