Donald Anderson

Donald Eugene Anderson was born September 18, 1932 at Estherville, Iowa, the son of Everett and Inga (Baarson) Anderson. He attended school in St. James. Andy joined the Army in 1950 serving 20 years. In 1951, he married Muriel Goodwin. During his military career he was stationed in Vietnam, Japan and Germany. Upon his return to St. James area, he started Andy's TV store. He also worked at Swift for a few years and a Toro in Windom for 8 years before his retirement in 2005. On May 31, 1981, Andy married Charlotte (Witter) Oliver they continued to live in the Ormsby area. Andy enjoyed playing bingo, bowling, gardening, cutting wood, being outdoors, attending flea markets and garage sales. Andy is survived by his wife; Charlotte Anderson of Ormsby, children; Donald L. Anderson of Corpus Christi, TX, John M. Anderson of Charlottesville, VA, James S. (Connie) Anderson of Madison Lake, Terry (Michaela) Anderson of Simmern, Germany, Richard (Donna) Anderson of Holt, FL, Christopher (Christine) Anderson of Frederick, MD, Patrick Anderson of Norcross, GA, Russell Oliver of St. James, Charles Oliver of Mankato, Tina Oliver of Augusta, ME, Richard Oliver of Mankato, Dixie Oliver of Mankato, a sister; Phyllis (Ted) Shetter of Indio, CA, 20 grandchildren to include Damian Watson and Christina Leach, and 10 great-grandchildren.
