Dianne Louise Friedley was born to Glenard and Lorraine (Nachtmann) Pieske in Springfield on November 4, 1948. She attended school in Lamberton, MN. On August 28th, 1965, Dianne married Raymond Friedley at Sharon Lutheran Church in Lamberton. Dianne had various jobs, including being a waitress and worked at Jackpot Junction as a cleaning lady prior to retiring. She loved being a wife and mother. She enjoyed puzzles, reading, going to the casino, visiting with people, having a Virginia Slim and a Pepsi, watching the Minnesota Twins, Vikings, and high school state championship games on TV. Dianne was a member of the Lamberton United Methodist Church, participated in ladies groups at church, was the “card lady” at the United Methodist Church sending many cards to people to brighten their day, and was a member of the Legion Auxiliary. She loved all things Elvis, her cat “Sam” and spending time with her family.
Dianne died on Friday, November 8, 2024, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN surround by her family at the age of 76.
She is survived by her husband of 59 years - Raymond Friedley of Lamberton; children - David Friedley of Lamberton and Dawn (Steve) Hanson of Walnut Grove; 6 grandchildren - Scott Weishella, StevenWeishella, Donavon (Brittany) Walz, Nicole (Doug) Roberts, Shawn (Michelle) Hanson, and Stacy Hanson; and several great grandchildren; siblings - Shirley Hammerschmidt, and Linda Pieske; sister-in-law - Mary Pieske; and many nieces, nephews, and cousins. Dianne was preceded in death by her parents; mother and father-in-law - Harvey and Mabel Friedley; a brother - Butch Pieske and a granddaughter - Mallory Friedley.
