Dennis Madison

Dennis Albert Madison, 84, of Saint James, died May 15, 2026, at his home.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 AM on Thursday, May 21, 2026, at Augustana Lutheran Church in Saint James with visitation from 9:30 AM until the time of the service at the church. Interment will be at Mount Hope Cemetery in Saint James. Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Online Condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Dennis was born October 27, 1941, to Orville and Adeline (Jablinski) Madison in Madelia, Minnesota. He attended school in Saint James where he wrestled for the High School wrestling team. On October 16, 1976, he married Linda Deinhart at Augustana Lutheran Church.

Dennis worked for the Saint James Creamery followed by over 50 years at ST Industries in Saint James where he ran the case shop. He also owned and operated a lawnmowing business with his sons for several years.

Dennis was an avid collector, going to many garage sales and attending gun and knife shows. He was always on the hunt for a good deal! In his free time, Dennis enjoyed watching westerns, shaking dice, playing Yatzee with Deb, and simply enjoyed being around his family.

Dennis is survived by his wife, Linda; children, Deb (Todd) Osdoba, Denise (Shane) Flynn, Michael (Heather) Madison, Derrick Madison, and Jacob (Amy Abbott) Madison; grandchildren, Jessica (Jon) Wheelock, Kolten Flynn, Madison Flynn, Cora Madison, Briar Madison, Reed Madison, Ivan Madison, Leandro Madison, and Ryder Madison; great grandchildren, Zander and Zachery Wheelock; sisters, LaVonne (Greg) Benda and Diane (Arne) Peters; sister-in-law, Karen Madison; special friend, Lincoln Gordon; and numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Dennis was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Doug Madison; and father and mother-in-law, Marvin and Phyllis Deinhart.
