Dennis Leo Flor was born on August 7, 1944 in Springfield, the son of Alfred and Loretta (Roiger) Flor. He attended country school, St. Raphael's Catholic School, and Springfield Public High School. Following Denny's education, he helped area farmers and worked for Pat Schmitz Eggs, Star Hatchery, Springfield Elevator, Art Fecker Farms, Jim Schultz, Anderson farms, and would always help with milking cows, bailing hay, and chopping silage. Denny was united in marriage to Susan Hall on February 4, 1967 at St. Richard's Catholic Church in Richfield, MN. The couple moved to Denny's home farm in 1986. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, teasing his family, feeding and watching the birds, drinking Sundrop, sucking on Certs and his daily stop at Fritz's. Most of all, he enjoyed his time with his family and grandchildren. He is survived by his wife - Susan Flor of Springfield; children - Dan (Maria) Flor of Springfield, Sandra (David) Groebner of Springfield, David (Dawn) Flor of Freemont, NE, Shelly (Robert) Borth of Sleepy Eye, and Christine Flor of CA; 12 grandchildren; a brother - Gerald (Ronda) Flor of New Ulm; sisters - Nancy (David) Beasley of Granite Falls, Beverly (Victor) Sinderman of St. Paul, Kathleen (Joe) Altrichter of Cushing, Arlene (Cyril) Helget of Comfrey, and Florene Ortiz of 29 Palms, CA; aunts - Mildred Mathiowetz of Morgan and Elsie Roiger of Springfield; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; parents-in-law - Lloyd and Leone Hall; and a brother-in-law - Mark Pankratz.
