Dennis Lloyd Falk was born on June 6, 1947 in Springfield, MN the son of Helen and August Falk. He attended Sanborn Community School through the 8th grade. After his father passed away, he left school to farm with his brothers. Later Denny helped many farmers and worked for Wells Tiling for many years. Denny loved farm life and raising poultry. He even raised deer for the DNR for a few years.
He enjoyed gardening and to this day still grew some tomato and cucumber plants around the house. Denny also enjoyed canning and shared this interest with his daughter Josie. Denny liked to hunt, trap, and fish. He had mounted many trophy fish, pheasants and even a beaver. He liked having coffee at the Springfield Mill and at the Sanborn Corners gas station with many friends.
Dennis and Sue were married on October 6, 1984 at Redeemer Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. They were blessed with two children, Josie and Jacob, who they were very proud of and enjoyed spending with them. Together they loved to fish, attending summer events, especially family gatherings to name a few.
Denny and Sue played in the “East Area Pool League” sponsored by Tom and Jerry’s Bar. They played for many years and shot in in several tournaments in Sioux Falls, SD. They enjoyed going out to eat at the Pizza Ranch and for Chinese.
They were blessed with three wonderful and loving grandchildren whom they enjoyed going to babysit. Denny had just spent the weekend prior to his death fishing with the oldest grandson.
Dennis and Susan are survived by their children, Josie (Anthony) Reed and Jacob (fiancé Kim Swenson) Falk; grandchildren, Dax Huston, Huxley and Noelle Reed; Sue’s mother, Frances (Schauer) Wilson; Sue’s brothers, David (Mary) and Calvin (Laurie) Wilson, Denny’s brother, Robert Falk, sister-in-law, Crystal Falk and many nieces, nephews and friends. Sue was preceded in death by her father, Duane Wilson. Dennis was preceded in death by parents, Helen and August Falk; sisters, Florence (Melvin) Oltjenbrun, Esther (Oren) West, Helen Goode; brothers, Edward, August, Gerald “Timmy”, Charles, Donald “Herman”, Rudolph, Richard, Roland “Tony” and two brothers in infancy.
