Delores Hillesheim

There will be a Rosary at the funeral home at 6pm on Sunday. There will be a Parish Prayer Service at 6:15pm Sunday following the rosary. Delores J. Hillesheim was born on May 17, 1929 in Sleepy Eye, MN the daughter of Joseph W. Veronica (Rathmann) Hillesheim. She grew up in Sleepy Eye where she attended and graduated from St. Mary's Catholic School's. Delores was stricken with arthritis at an early age and lived with this burden all of her adult life. Yet she had many interests, including cooking, canning, baking, sewing and sightseeing. For many years she enjoyed the company of her special friend, Little Dickens her cat. She was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye and a past member of the National Catholic Society of Foresters. Delores J. Hillesheim, 78, of Sleepy Eye, MN died on Thursday, August 9, 2007 at Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan, MN Survivors include her siblings, Melvin (Mildred) Hillesheim of Sun City, AZ, Martin Hillesheim of St. Cloud, Lorraine Reinhart of Minneapolis and Marianne (Fredrick) Bianchi of New Ulm; and many nieces and nephews. Delores was preceded in death by her parents, step-mother Rosalie (Hoffmann) Hillesheim and brother-in-law, Armin Reinhart.
