Delores Frantz

Delores Mary Frantz was born May 20, 1921, in Redwood Falls, MN, the daughter of Paul and Lucretia (Gallery) Weis. She graduated from Redwood Falls High School in 1939 and was united in marriage to Michael Frantz on June 28, 1942. Following marriage the couple moved to Springfield where Delores worked at Federated Department Store and Kingery's before working at St. John Lutheran Home in Activities from 1975-91. She was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church and the CCW, served as president of the St. John Lutheran Home Auxiliary, and was a longtime member of the Springfield American Legion Auxiliary. Delores enjoyed playing bridge, visiting with friends, watching TV, and especially enjoyed spending time with her grandkids. Delores Mary Frantz died Monday, April 25, 2005, at St. John Lutheran Home at the age of 83 years. Survivors include son- Benji and wife Debbie Frantz of Scottsdale, AZ; daughter- Shelley Frantz of Springfield; grandchildren- Katherine and Jonathon Pipes and Lauren and Michael Frantz, all of Scottsdale; sister- Janet Henrich of Edina; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband- Michael in 1982; and brother- John Weis in 2000.
