Della Corinne Iverson was born April 16, 1917, on Eureka Farm, the daughter of Iver and Martha (Hofstad) Iverson. After graduating from high school, Corinne found employment as a house maid in Minneapolis. In addition to her household duties, there were musical evenings where Corinne accompanied at the piano, with duets such as Mozart's La u clarem la mano and arias such as Micaela's Air from Carmen. She then moved to California to work as a cook for the Arthur Johnson home. After five years, Corinne returned to Minneapolis and worked with Jay Simm Music Company as a music clerk. She was a lifetime Sons of Norway member and traveled to Norway for her dream vacation. Corinne enjoyed cooking, baking, bird-watching and sky-watching. She also enjoyed observing nature and wildlife, studying the Norwegian language, and reading. Corinne and her sister were avid Scrabble players as the well-worn dictionaries at Eureka Farm would attest, and also enjoyed crossword puzzles.
