Dean Dennis Braun

Dean Braun age 65, of Sleepy Eye, Minnesota died on July 21, 2023, at his home.

Service will be held at the St. Mary's Catholic Church-Sleepy Eye, on Thursday, July 27, 2023 at 11:00 am. Visitation will take place at the church one hour prior to the funeral.

The clergy will be Fr. Mark Steffl. Interment will be at a later date.

Dean Dennis Braun was born March 20, 1958 in Sleepy Eye to Dennis and LaNette (Haas) Braun. He passed away at his home after a long battle with cancer, surrounded by his family.  Dean had a contagious smile and a good heart, always ready to help anyone in need.  He was a lifelong farmer and loved working and harvesting the fields.  He was employed by Braun Oil for the past 25 years and loved working with his aunt and cousins.  Dean's favorite hobby was driving his '67 Camero around town or "laying rubber" doing burnouts and racing his friends.

He is survived by his mother, LaNette (Haas) Braun; his lifelong love, Sherri Braun; his children, Jason Braun, Melissa (Corey) Schumacher, Ashley (special friend Adam Hutchens) Braun; 6 grandchildren, Kennedy and Kaden Braun, Presley, Gaige and Bentley Bauer, Tristin Schumacher; 2 great-grandchildren, Maverick and Lynx Schumacher; siblings, Steve (Lynette) Braun, Colleen (Tom) Goeritz, along with many nieces and nephews.  He is preceded in death by his father, Dennis Braun; grandparents, Henry and Frieda Haas, Aloys and Loretta Braun; mother-in-law, Lois Tauer and sister-in-law, Sharlene Krebsbach.
