David Ochs

David Ochs was born on June 27, 1961, to Leo and Mary Ann (Utz) Ochs in Springfield, MN.  After graduating from Springfield High School in 1980, David worked at Ochs Brick and Tile.  In 2004, David moved to Alexandria, VA and worked for General Shale.  David then returned to Springfield in 2008 and worked security at Jackpot Junction and then Kraft Foods in New Ulm.  He loved to spend time with his family especially his grandchildren, gardening, watching the Minnesota Vikings, cooking, and cruising around.

David died on February 20, 2023, at Abbott Northwestern Hospital in Minneapolis at the age of 61.

He is survived by his mother Mary Ann Ochs; daughter Amanda Ochs and her children Harlow and Kai; son Andrew (Kya) Ochs and their children Alayna, Lucas, and Izabella; siblings - Roberta (Ron) Davis, Barbara (Rich) Dauer, Rhonda Utz, Terry (Cathy) Ochs, Jeff (Pat) Ochs, Becky (Jack) Vogel, Amy (Tom) Thiessen, many nieces and nephews, and his Mankato “peeps”.  David was preceded in death by his grandparents, father Leo, sister Michelle Ochs, and aunts and uncles.
