David was born on December 4, 1957, at Union Hospital in New Ulm. He graduated from New Ulm High School in 1976, where he excelled in track and basketball. Growing up, he was a member of 4-H and the Boy Scouts, where he attained the rank of Eagle Scout.

David spent the majority of his life trucking for various companies around the Hanska area. He moved back to the family farm site on Linden Lake in December 2004. He had a love of nature and animals and maintained a small herd of Charolais cattle for several years. Dave had the gift of gab and could strike up a conversation with anyone, anywhere. He could also tell you how to get virtually anywhere.

David is survived by his two children, Andrew (Nicole) Miller and Jennifer (Tyler) Miller; two grandchildren, Jace and Lane; sisters, Julie and Dorene; and many extended family and friends.

David was preceded in death by his parents, Melvin and Arlene Miller and his grandparents.
