David Brinkman

There will be a Parish Prayer Service on Tuesday at 7:00 p.m. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be given to the donors choice. David C. Brinkman was born October 11, 1954, in Denver, CO to Dr. Don and Donna (Dieltz) Brinkman. He graduated from St. Mary's High School in 1973. David attended Willmar Community College and earned a B.S. Degree from St. Scholastica in Organizational Behavior. He spent his years working with people in chemical dependency assessment and treatment. David was an avid collector of antiques, specializing in pottery and Indian artifacts. He was a compassionate soul, full of intellect and humor. David Brinkman, age 54 of Shakopee, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died Wednesday, October 15, 2008, at Shakopee. David is survived by his parents- Dr. Don and Donna Brinkman of Sleepy Eye; brothers and their wives- Dan and Vicki Brinkman of New Ulm, and Dr. Dean and Sandy Brinkman of Sleepy Eye; nieces- Nicole Brinkman and fiance' Chad Genz, Alexandra and Deonna Brinkman; nephew- Carter Brinkman; grand-nephew- Liam Genz; and dear friend Susan Merritt and her daughters of Lindstrom. He was preceded in death by his maternal and paternal grandparents.
