He lived with his family near and in Hanska all his life. He graduated from Hanska High School in 1966. That same year, Daryl started working for Kraft Foods. Daryl proudly served in the U.S. Navy from 1967- 1971. After returning from the Navy, Daryl went back to work at Kraft Foods until his retirement in 2011. Daryl married Carla Bliese on January 17, 1981. They lived together in Hanska. He was a member of Zion Lutheran Church, having served on various committees. He was also a member of the VFW and a former Hanska firefighter. Daryl enjoyed life in every way. He was happiest when he was surrounded by family and friends. When he wasn't, he had no problems starting a conversation with a stranger. Those of us who knew Daryl, knew that he loved to talk. He also loved to laugh and joke around. He also enjoyed playing cards, going fishing, tending to his garden, and doing yard work. No matter what Daryl was doing, or who he was with, there was always a smile on his face and a kind word on his lips.
