Darryl Regehr

Darryl Harry Regehr, the son of Harry H. and Helen K. (Friesen) Regehr was born on September 2, 1949, in Mountain Lake, MN. He received his education at the Mountain Lake Christian School, Mountain Lake High School and Grace College of the Bible in Omaha, NE. Darryl was baptized upon confession of his faith and recieved as a member of the Gospel Mennonite Church in Mountain Lake. On November 28, 1969, Darryl was united in marriage to Elizabeth Louise Loewen at the Gospel Mennonite Church. They madetheir home in Mountain Lake where he worked as a dealer/operator for Regehr Chevrolet and Towns Edge Auto until 1986, and he remained in the car business until 1989. He served as business manager for Bargen Inc. from 1989 to 1991, and from 1991 until his death, Darryl was an Insurance Agent specializing in crop insurance. Darryl and Liz moved to Woodbury, MN in 1993, and they became members of Grace Church in Eden Prairie, MN. He was alway very active in his churches, especially with youth andchildren's ministry programs. Darryl served as President of Jaycees, President of Rotary and President of the Chamber of Commerce during the 50th anniversary of the local Pow Wow celebration while living in Mountain Lake. He also served on the Mountain Lake Christian School Board and was a charter board member of the Bethany Christian High School. Darryl enjoyed cars, camping, fishing, and his grandkids. He loved life and spending it with his family. Darryl Regehr, 56 ,of Woodbury, MN, formerly of Mountain Lake, MN died on Tuesday, February 14, 2006 at Our Lady of Good Counsel Home in St. Paul, MN. Darryl is survived by his wife Elizabeth Regehr of Woodbury; two children, Darren and his wife Joyce Regehr of Roseville, MN, and Sharla and her husband Jason Kartak of Shakopee, MN; two grandchildren, Ty Regehr and Rebecca Kartak; two sisters, Nancy and her husband Virgel Kroeker of Mission, TX, and Sharon and her husband Fred Wall of Glenwood Springs, CO; many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; a son, Derek Drew Regehr, and agranddaughter, Kayli Elizabeth-Helen Kartak.
