Darren Davis

Darren James Davis was born in Sleepy Eye, MN to Edward and Wanda (Henrichs) Davis on September 19, 1970 on a beautiful sunny morning. He attended high school at Sleepy Eye Public School where he made lifelong friends. In 1994, he married Tammy Johnson. During their marriage they were blessed with 2 beautiful children - Baily and Trevor. He also was recently blessed with his 1st grandchild - Mylz Rocha. Darren looked forward to spending as much free time with his children and grandson as possible. Darren worked most recently for Meadowland Farmers Co-op as a driver. He also enjoyed fishing, boating, mudding by the river, and cruising in his classic 1968 Oldsmobile 442. He took great pride in all that he did, whether that be small or large projects for himself or others. Darren made friends everywhere he went, as he was an open and honest man. Darrens legacy will carry on through his children and family. Darren Davis died on Tuesday, August 20, 2019 at Mayo Clinic Health System in Springfield, MN, at the age of 48. He is survived by children - Baily Davis (Ricardo Rocha III) of St. James, Trevor Davis (Haley Kaehler) of Butterfield; grandson Mylz Anthony Rocha of St. James; father Edward Davis of Jacksonville, FL; brother John (Laura) Burden Jr. of New Ulm; sister Louella Davis of Sanborn; brother Shawn Burden of Madelia; sister Sheila Burden (Heather Zeidler) of Hanahan, SC; 7 nephews and 2 nieces; and many uncles, aunts, cousins, and friends. Darren was preceded in death by his mother Wanda Burden; grandmother Louise Henrichs; grandmother Charlotte Alt; grandfather Richard Alt; and nephew Eric Davis.
