Darold Siebert

Darold Ewald Siebert was born December 8, 1924 to Ewald and Luella (Henslin) Siebert in Brookville Township in Redwood County. On October 16, 1949 Darold married Ellner (Timm) at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. He was employed as a Lineman with Redwood Electric Cooperative from 1947 until 1987 in Clements. Darold was a 42 year member of the Clements Volunteer Fire Department, a life member of the American Legion and a VFW commander since 1998, he was also a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. He enjoyed puzzles, pitching horse shoes, and playing in several local bands. Darold has been a resident at St. John Lutheran Home since November of 2008. Darold died on Sunday, April 19, 2009 at the Springfield Medical Center at the age of 85 years. He is survived by his wife Ellner; son - Charles (Debbie) of Eden Prairie, MN; daughters - Sue (Jim) Kruse of Sauk Rapids, MN and Janis (George) Erickson of Springfield; 7 grandchildren; 4 step grandchildren; and 2 great grandchildren. Preceding Darold in death were his parents, son - Larry a sister - Dorothy Burginger; and brother-in-law Norbert.
