Darlene Ruth Green, age 94, of Mountain Lake, MN, passed away on Monday, November 10, 2025, at Good Samaritan Home in Mountain Lake, MN.

Visitation will be on Saturday, November 15, 2025, from 9:00 AM to 10:00 AM at Mountain Lake Alliance Church.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Mountain Lake Alliance Church on Saturday at 10:00 AM.

Interment will be at the Mountain Lake Cemetery.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Mountain Lake, MN.

Darlene Ruth (Riemersma) Green, was born on October 21st, 1931, in Worthington, Minnesota.  Darlene, daughter of Bert and Ethel (Palmer) Riemersma grew up on the family farm near Brewster and graduated from Brewster High School. On May 15th, 1952, she married the love of her life, Loren Eugene Green. They enjoyed many adventures as they built their life together including attending college in Three Hills, Alberta Canada and living in Montana before settling back in Minnesota. Darlene and Loren were blessed with 8 children, 30 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren and cherished spending time with them. They were also active with their church and the American Sunday School Union. Loren passed away July 10th, 2009.

Darlene's faith was evident in all that she did. Besides caring for her family, she was active in her church. At the Storden Baptist Church she played the organ, sang in the choir and served on the Ladies Aid Committee. At the Alliance Missionary Church in Mountain Lake, she enjoyed participating in various groups and committees and taught Sunday School. Throughout her life Darlene loved to sing and play the organ and the piano. Her other hobbies included sewing, quilting, drawing, painting, cooking and growing flowers. Darlene shared her life with the community when she owned and operated the Storden Café and the Storden Bowling Alley, and she loved running her store, Night Owl Gifts and Crafts in Mountain Lake.

Left to cherish her memory are: children, Mary (James) Westerman, Ruth (Allen) Narveson, Loren "Jim" (Debra) Green, Robert Green, Rebecca Green, David (Judy) Green, Jeffrey Green and Kelli (Jason) Jepsen; grandchildren; great grandchildren; and great great grandchildren; nieces and nephews; brothers-in-law, Charles "Bing" Coe, Alvin (Ardyce) Schmidt and Robert "Bobbie" (Muriel) Green,

Darlene was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Loren; daughter-in-law, Nancy Green; sister, Lulu (Stephen) Andersen; brother, Gerald (Cleone) Riemersma; sister, Bethel "Besty" Coe; brother-in-law, Wayne (Margaret) Green; sister-in-law, Dorothy Schmidt, and sister-in-law, Glennys (Robert) McDonald.
