Daniel Nason

Daniel Joseph Nason was born on July 18, 1956 in Harvey, Illinois, the son of Thomas Betty June (Stearmann) Nason. He graduated from Thorton High School in Illinois. Dan married Kayla Schauman on November 3, 1983 in Manhatten, Kansas. He served in United States Army for 20 years as a military policeman and helicopter maintenance repairman. He was a member of Grace Evangelical Lutheran Church in Sleepy Eye. Dan lived life to its fullest, embracing each experience; spending time and teaching his sons golf. Daniel Joseph Nason, age 49, died on October 18, 2005 at the Sleepy Eye Medical Center. He is survived by his wife, Kayla J. Nason and sons, Daniel J. Nason, Jr., Shaun Nason and Kyle Nason, all of Sleepy Eye, brothers; John Nason of Merrilville, IN, Bill Nason of Calumet, Ill, Kevin Nason of Lansing, Ill, sister and brother-in-laws and spouses; Vickie husband Craig Peterson of Chaska, Michael wife, Marilyn Schauman, Jon wife, Janice Schauman all of Sleepy Eye, Jullie husband, Grant of Hatten of Stewart, Nita husband, Harlen Helget of Darfur, Joel Schauman of St. James and special friend, Gina Schauman of Hector, Willy Schauman of Marshall and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, mother and father-in-law, Gilbert and Janette Schauman, two infant sisters and sister-in-law, Francis Nason.
