Dale Larue Parsons

Dale LaRue Parsons, age 86, of Janesville, Wisconsin died peacefully on November 13, 2024, surrounded by his family.

Funeral service will be held at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Darfur, Minnesota on Thursday, November 21, 2024, at 11:00 am. with visitation one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will be at Saint John's Lutheran Cemetery in Darfur. Arrangements are with Sturm Funeral Home in Saint James. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com.

Dale was born October 8, 1938, to Lyle and Isabelle (Fox) Parsons in Saint Peter, Minnesota. He attended Saint Peter High School and graduated in 1956. During his senior year, he enlisted in the Minnesota National Guard. Dale attended Mankato Vocational School for electronics. In 1958, he went to work for Univac in upstate New York. In 1960, Dale's guard unit was activated and served at Ft. Bragg, North Carolina. Following his release from active duty, he moved to Minneapolis and worked for Control Data. It was there, Dale met Nancy Flaming. They were married on October 17, 1964, at Saint John's Lutheran Church in Darfur, Minnesota.

Dale was employed by Recognition Equipment, Inc. as a Field Technician.  While employed with Recognition Equipment, he worked in Dallas, TX,  Chicago, Il, Bismarck, ND, Madison and Janesville, WI, retiring in 2003. Dale and family also resided in Rice Lake Wisconsin for several years where he obtained a private pilots license and opened a two-way radio communication business with his brother. In his free time, Dale enjoyed fishing, billiards, playing cards, and spending time with family.

Dale is survived by his children, Jeff (Bonnie) Parsons of Mount Horeb, Wisconsin, Bentley (Amanda) Parsons of Pueblo, Colorado, and Suzanne (Dean) Langley of Janesville, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Robert, Travis, Troy, and Alec; and sister, LaDonna Bartlett.

Dale was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Nancy in 2004; and brother, Wayne (Esther) Parsons.
