Visitation will be held at the St. Mark's Catholic Church in Shakopee on Monday from 5-8 pm with a prayer service at 7pm. Cory was born on July 8, 1968 at the Springfield Hospital to Francis Pat Mildred (Helget) Augustin. He attended Japanese Martyrs School until sixth grade and then Comfrey Public School where he was crowned Homecoming King. He played football and baseball. Cory attended Willmar Austin Vo-Techs. He coached Leavenworth Baseball Comfrey Elementary Basketball for the teams his sons played on. He played on summer Softball Leagues for many years. Cory married Joan Albertson on April 24, 1994 in Comfrey. He began CS Construction in 1999. The couple made their home in Comfrey until May of 2007 when they moved to Shakopee to begin Augustin Company. He loved pheasant and deer hunting with his brothers, brothers-in-law, nephews, friends and beloved hunting dogs. He also loved fishing and boating with his sons. He was a past member of St. Paul's Church where he was festival chair and usher and a present member of St. Mark's in Shakopee. Cory Lee Augustin, age 40, of Shakopee, formerly of Comfrey died on Saturday, November 15, 2008 at his home after being diagnosed with brain cancer in May of 2007. He is survived by his wife, Joan and sons, Colton Carter of Shakopee, Parents, Pat Mildy of rural Springfield, Siblings, Alan (Julie) of Lake Crystal, Dale of Springfield, Mark (Monica) of Apple Valley, Beth (Alan) Zuhlsdorf of Sleepy Eye, father-in-law, Richard Albertson of Westbrook, sister-in-law, Tammy (Jim) Lipetzky, brother-in-law, Dan (Sheila) Albertson, all of MI and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his grandparents and mother-in-law, Nancy Albertson.
