Constance Deree

Constance Connie Mary (Ellis) Deree was born on September 19, 1926 in Bridgewater, MA, the daughter of Albert and Edith (Knight) Ellis. She grew up and attended school in Bridgewater, MA. Connie married Linwood Francis Deree on June 25, 1943 in Rockland, MA with a double ceremony with her brother, Richard Ellis. She worked at Regal Shoe Factory and later stayed home and cared for their seven children and grandchildren. The couple moved to Sleepy Eye, MN in 1971. Connie enjoyed crochet, making clothes for her grandchildren, gardening, spending time with her children grandchildren, going for walks, visiting with neighbors and keeping in touch with her family. Constance "Connie" Deree, age 80 of Sleepy Eye died on Friday, May 4, 2007 at her home in Sleepy Eye. She is survived by her children - Linwood Jr. (Linda) Deree of Fredenca, DE, Robert Sr. (Joy) Deree of Port Orange, FL, David Deree of Savage, MN, Cheryl (Manfred) Blank of Sleepy Eye, MN, Michael (Janet) Deree of Cyril, OK, Debra (Gary) Thoms of Sleepy Eye, MN, and Marilyn Maggie Deree of Sleepy Eye, MN; 21 grandchildren; 43 great grandchildren; brothers - Robert Ellis, Edward Ellis, and Albert Ellis Jr; a sister - Edith (Jay) McGowan; and a sister-in-law - Majorie Lloyd. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband Linwood Frank in 1999; a grandson - Jeffrey; a brother - Richard; and two sisters - Majorie Lorian and Muriel Bumpus.
