Cody Michael Cowell, 35, of Mountain Lake, Minnesota, passed away peacefully at home on February 23, 2026, surrounded by his loving family, after a long and courageous battle with olfactory neuroblastoma.
Although Cody endured many obstacles throughout his journey, he was never defined by his diagnosis. He chose to live each day with gratitude, strength, and an unwavering positive spirit. Cody found joy in life's simplest pleasures - a cup of black coffee, peaceful walks by the lake, jamming to his favorite music, and proudly kicking his mom's butt in dice games.
Cody's infectious smile and bright personality were true gifts to everyone who knew him. He had a way of blessing every room he entered. His laughter, his genuine heart, and the light he carried left a lasting imprint on people near and far. Even in the most difficult moments, his positive attitude never wavered. He continued to uplift those around him until his very last breath.
Cody will be remembered for his strength, his joy for life, the happiness he so effortlessly spread to others. His legacy is one of resilience, courage, and choosing joy despite adversity.
He will be deeply missed and forever loved.
A Celebration of Life will be held this summer. Date to be determined.
