Clyde Prins

Clyde A. Prins was born on December 23, 1924, the son of Tebbo Prins and Marvel Smith in Minneapolis. Clyde was united in marriage on December 14, 1945 to Bonnie Johnson. The couple lived in Lamberton until 1959 when they moved to Tracy and raised their family. Clyde lived in Tracy for over 40 years and worked at Hemmingsen's Phillips 66 and Bob Deming Plumbing and Heating and received his Master Plumbing License. Clyde also worked as Tracy's building inspector and many years at Rignell's Ace Hardware. After retirement, Clyde kept busy doing many odd jobs ranging from home repairs to home remodeling, also spending many hours in his woodworking shop creating many masterpieces. The couple moved back to Lamberton in 2001 and in 2012, after Bonnie's death, he moved to Country View Assisted Living in Walnut Grove. In January 2014, Clyde became a resident of Prairie View Health Care Center in Tracy. Clyde was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church in Lamberton, MN. Clyde died on Monday, February 19, 2014 at the Prairie View Senior Living in Tracy. He is survived by children - Ric (Mary) Prins of Apache Junction, AZ; Deb (Bryce) Pack of Lamberton, MN and Julie (Al) Buyck of Algona, IA; seven grandchildren - Chris (Linda) Pack of Hayfield, MN, Nicholas Pack of River Falls, WI, Amy (Noel) McLaughlin of Algona, IA, Casey (Monica) Pack of Maple Lake, MN, Derek (Amber) Buyck of West Des Moines, IA, Colby (Sarah) Pack of Fulda, MN, and Joshua Buyck of Des Moines, IA; twelve great grandchildren and another expected in June; and brothers and sisters - Robert (Marjorie) Prins of Storden, MN, Norman (Ruth) Prins of N. Mankato, MN, Bernice (Lawrence Jack) Ryker of Jeffers, MN, Kenneth (Shirley) Prins of Jeffers, MN, Janet Prins of Jeffers, MN, and Richard Prins of St. Paul, MN; brother-in-law David Vining of Hermosa, SD; sister-in-law Mary Lou Prins of Springfield. Clyde was preceded in death by his father and step-mother Tebbo and Jeanette Prins; mother Marvel Manfull; wife Bonnie Prins in February 2012; an infant grandson - Mychal Pack; brothers Gene (Dorothy) Ollom and Marvin Prins; sisters - LaDonna (Myron) Eucken, Arlene (Arlen) Meyer, Beatrice Vining.
