Clement Ambrose Beranek was born November 30, 1920, in Waterbury Township, Redwood County, the son of Peter and Margaret (Schunk) Beranek. Clem was a lifetime resident of the Wanda area and was united in marriage to Dorothy Rohlik on November 27, 1941, at St. Mary's Church in Seaforth, MN. He was a member of St. Mathias Catholic Church, Catholic Aid Association, NFO, and Farmer's Union. Clem enjoyed fishing, watching the Twins, playing cards, gardening, and farming - especially buying and selling cattle. Clem Beranek died Friday, August 17, 2007, at the Redwood Area Hospital at the age of 86 years. Survivors include his children- Diane and husband Gene Irlbeck of Lamberton, Cletus and wife Barb Beranek of Lamberton, Galen and wife Chris Beranek of Lamberton, Sandra Laingen of Spicer, Dona and husband John Anderson of Elk River, and Mavis and husband Eric Paluck of Maple Grove; son-in-law- Myron and wife Mary Vogt of Sanborn; 29 grandchildren; 20 great-grandchildren; sister- Bernice Zwach of Milroy; and sister-in-law- Patricia Beranek of Lamberton. He was preceded in death by his parents; wife- Dorothy in 2004; daughter- Carol Vogt; daughter-in-law- Sue Beranek; and brothers- Marvin and Lester Beranek.
