Clayton Adlor Trudeau was born May 25, 1 925 in Tracy, MN to Zephire and Daisy (Nelson) Trudeau. He graduated from Milroy High School and served with the U.S. Navy from 1943- 1946. Clayton was united in marriage to Betty Rose Johnson on October 14, 1956 in Tracy, MN. He owned a plumbing shop in Lakefield until 1958 when he and Betty moved to Springfield. There he owned and operated Trudeau Supply - a wholesale plumbing company. In 1974 he became a plumbing instructor at Jackson Area Technical College for the next 16 years until his retirement. Clayton was a member of the Springfield Golf Club for many years and John Watson American Legion Post #257. He served on the Lakefield Fire Department and was a member of the State Vocational Committee. As a member of St. John's Lutheran Church he served on the building committee and the church council. Clayton enjoyed bowling, golf, fishing and singing in the St. John's Lutheran Church Choir and annual Springfield Nativity Pageant. He had a passion for sports, travel and music. Clayton enjoyed attending athletic events and various musical programs throughout the area. He also enjoyed meeting his coffee group each morning and delivering meals on wheels to Springfield area residents. He and Betty loved spending time with their family and at their lake cabin on Little Birch Lake near Gray Eagle, MN. Clayton was a do-it yourself guy and was always available to help family and friends with a construction or remodeling project. He is survived by his wife Betty of Springfield; son Dean and wife Marie Trudeau of Hutchinson; daughter Jeanine and husband Bill Lauer of Plymouth; grandchildren; Kaitlyn, Ben and Joe Lauer; Kendra and Claire Trudeau; Brandon Spandl; sister Mary Jo (Terry) Crist of Garland, TX and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents, brother and sister in-law Leo and Fran Trudeau.
