Clarence "Joe" J. Pankratz

Clarence "Joe" Joseph Pankratz was born on January 28, 1948, in Sleepy Eye, the son of Clarence and Elaine (Walter) Pankratz. He graduated from Willmar High School in 1966. He was united in marriage to Barbara King on August 26, 1967, at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Willmar and later divorced. He graduated from Moorhead State University with a degree in teaching. Joe taught elementary in Winthrop for 12 years. He enjoyed collecting, sports, western movies and books, shopping, and had a bit of a sweet tooth. He is survived by his children - Kristine Shirk of Taos, New Mexico and Lori (Robert) Achman of Becker, MN; grandchildren - Michelle Shirk, Anna Shirk, Justin Achman, and Kaylee Achman; siblings - Dan Pankratz of Clara City, MN, Kathleen (Gerry) Meyer of OR, Steve (Robin) Pankratz of Rochester, MN, and Sandra (Tony) Copa of Maple Grove, MN. He was preceded in death by his parents and a grandson - Joshua Achman.
