Clare Gross

Clare Elaine Gross the daughter Joseph and Mary (Olsen) Gross was born Septembet 21, 1925 in Rosendale Twp, Watonwan Co., MN. She died at the age of 80 on April 10, 2006 at Immanuel-St. Joseph Hospital in Mankato. Clare was raised in the home of her parents in Rosendale Twp. and later moved into St. James where she attended St. James Catholic grade school and graduated from St. James High Scool in 1943. During WWII she worked in Washington DC for the Navy Dept. Her next 18 years were spent at First National Bank in St. James then spent 23 years at Farm Services in St. James retiring in 1986. Clare enjoyed membership in the VFW Aux., St. James Catholic Church, Catholic Daughters and the W.C.C.W. Clare enjoyed sewing, knitting, crafts and spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers Donald and Joseph, sister Ruth, brother-in-law Arthur Hasher Grateful for having shared her life are her sisters Irene (Clint) Johnson of El Paso, TX, Helen Hasher of Peoria, AZ, Barbara (Bert) Sherbarth of Bloomington, Theresa (Richard) Dubovich of Ham Lake, a sister-in-law Mae Gross of Virginia, nieces, nephews, other relative and friends.
