Christopher Gresch

Christopher Gresch age 67, of Springfield, MN died on July 16, 2024, at his home. Private family services have been held.

Christopher Nealon Gresch was born on March 11, 1957, the son of Maurice and Barbara Gresch. He attended and graduated from Springfield High School in 1975. After graduation, Chris entered into the United States Navy from May 1977 until 1981 and was stationed in San Diego. He sailed with the 7th fleet and underwent many expeditions to western pacific waters. After he was honorably discharged from the Navy, he returned to Minnesota. Chris worked at various manufacturing jobs in Southwestern Minnesota throughout his life. He loved watching sports especially college football and basketball. His favorite was NFL football as he was so passionate about his Green Bay Packers and how they would perform every season. Chris enjoyed fishing the Minnesota River, camping in Whitewater State Park and spending time with his family.

Chris is survived by his son, Joseph (Shelby) Gresch of Shakopee, MN; daughter, Jennifer (John) Scholl of Alexandria, MN; grandchildren, Samantha and Jacob Gresch, Ella and John Scholl; brother, Steve (Laurie) Gresch and sister, Kathy Gresch. He was preceded in death by his parents, Maurice and Barbara Gresch and brothers, Mike and Bill Gresch.
