Cheryl Nessett

Cheryl Nessett was born on August 26, 1961, to Richard and Lucille (Lowinski) Bertrand in Sleepy Eye. After graduating from Sleepy Eye Public High School, she worked for Pizza Haven, AUI, and Beacon. Cheryl coached cheerleading for several years and was a member of St. Mary's Catholic Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. She enjoyed visiting and being out and about, playing cards and board games, and time with her grandchildren and her beloved dog Tyson. Cheryl died on Friday, October 1, 2021, at Good Samaritan Society in Waconia, MN after a long battle with cancer, at the age of 60. She is survived by her sons - Chris Nessett (Jenna Arkins) of Sleepy Eye and Gregory Nessett, Jr. of Mankato; grandchildren - Reed, Ella, Ava, Jace, and Lexi; siblings - Lynn (Mary) Bertrand of Annandale and Steve (Adrianne) Bertrand of Clearwater, FL; longtime friend Julie Lilleodden; and nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends. Cheryl was preceded in death by her parents.
